Want to know something funny? I never set out to be a Raw Food Coach! In fact, there wasn't such a thing at the time I got started and I didn't even know that there would be a NEED for such a thing... but there was.
It all began back in 1998 when I was running the UK's first raw food organisation "The Fresh Network". Via this company we offered many products and services to the UK and beyond including raw food mail order, a monthly magazine, raw food classes, raw food events featuring leading raw food speakers, raw food dinner parties and more. It was a HUGE amount of fun to do, and, commited to being a one-stop-shop for all things raw, we thought we had it covered.
But apparently not!
Over time and as the business grew, we found that more and more often, when someone would ring in to place an order with us they would have masses of questions about how to eat raw, how to eat more raw and how to stay eating raw.
At first we didn't think too much of it and simply answered questions in an ad-hoc kind of way as and when they came in. However, pretty soon as the business grew, we realised that there was a lot of practical information and personalised guidance missing - and not just in the UK but actually, in the world at large - and that something or someone needed to address this, and soon.
It seems the Universe conspired to force my hand in a big way because one day a young woman called the office and asked if she could pay for an hour of my time. She wanted to speak to me after normal business hours and spend an hour on the phone with me asking me all of her raw-related questions.
I had never had this request before so it initially caught me off guard, but I thought, "Hey, why not? I'm more than happy to do that and it seems a very efficient way of getting her questions answered". And so we set up a time to speak, she said she would send me a cheque in the mail (yes it was back in those days!) and we then proceeeded to do what was effectively a Q&A session on the phone later that same day.
I was actually amazed at just how easy and fulfilling it was to help this woman. The hour flew by, she left more than happy with what she had learned and I couldn't believe how much fun I had had sharing what I knew in a way that really worked for us both. Genius!
And while that cheque never arrived, I still thank that woman to this day for her request because it was to change the whole trajectory of my life and the raw food world as a whole.
At the same time that this happened I was also enroled in a life coaching training program in London. I had enroled because I was (and still am) massively into personal development and human potential and was thinking of becoming a life coach on the side.
However, again the Universe had a grander plan for me. Through advertising my coaching services around raw food I found out that actually, while yes, everyone was initially signing up for coaching to get more clarity about how to go and stay raw, ultimately the coaching would always move into bigger life issues as people gained more energy and passion for life as a result of eating more raw food...
Thus the term "Raw Food Coach" was born.
You see, the truth is, everyone DOES need to know how to go and stay raw (or more raw) if they want to experience the level of health and vitality that they dream of, and this is the foundation of being a great Raw Food Coach.
They need to know exactly what they want, why they want it, and how to make it happen in a way that works for them, and potentially, their family. This is the bottom line of what raw food coaching is all about.
However...
What invariably happens is that as soon as someone starts making progress with their raw food diet, something rather interesting occurs... they start transforming - and in some cases radically. With all of the new energy, clarity and joie de vivre that is now their new norm, they find themselves asking bigger questions, feeling more alive, feeling a sense of wanting more, feeling ready to find more meaning and purpose... and the list goes on.
This is what's referred to as "Raw Transformation" and will happen for and to anyone who increases the amount of raw food in their diet and sticks with it. (There's a whole raft of content about how and why this happens and how to help someone through it in the Raw Coach Training as it's need-to-know information.)
And while I never expected this to happen (I thought people would just want to talk about food!), I learned first-hand through coaching literally thousands of men and women via 1:1 coaching and group programs, that this phenomenon is REAL. It doesn't just happen to a handful of people, it happens to everyone who adds a lot more raw food to their diet and keeps going... and so I made it my job to figure out the exact ways to help someone understand this rite of passage and how to move through it in a way that was fun, exciting and enlightening - as opposed to weird and scary!
As a result of my own very intense (but wonderful) raw food journey and coaching so many others, I became so passionate and committed to raw food coaching that, at the end of 2006, I made the leap and went solo under my own brand of "The Raw Food Coach".
I won't pretend it was easy. I was actually incredibly nervous about coming out from behind an organisation and going solo, but it was one of the best things I've ever done.
As you can probably already tell, I am a firm believer that when something is right for us the Universe steps in and shows its support. We just have to take the first step. And this was no different. In no time whatsoever, I was making more money, being more successful and enjoying my work more as a Raw Food Coach than anything I had ever done before.
I literally was living my dream life! I was helping people in incredible ways, earning more money than I had ever earned before (in any job or business), and all while being a full-time single parent to my then-toddler son.
I learned first-hand that it was POSSIBLE, that people DID want my services and that I was having the most fun I'd ever had in my professional life. And the good stuff just kept on coming!
I was clearly onto something and I had been right to trust my gut.
Not long after I launched fully at the start of 2007, I started receiving emails completely out of the blue from people asking me if I would help THEM to become a Raw Food Coach and/or help them build their raw food business and website.
Again, this was never in the plan, BUT, I realised that I had cracked the code and I did want to help others to help others, and so the first Raw Coach Training was born.
That was back in June 2007 and since then I have trained over 2000 men and women worldwide to be a Raw Food Coach or Teacher - or both. Nothing fulfils me more than being able to share the depth of knowledge, know-how and wisdom I have accrued over the past 27 years from my own raw food journey, and off the back of all of the many millions (yes, millions... I have TV and YouTube to thank for that!) I have helped and coached along the way.
And so here we are 12 years later and right on the threshold of not only a brand new year but a brand new DECADE.
When we reflect on what has happened just with veganism in the past year alone and where the overall consciousness and food habits of society are headed, this is THE TIME when people are more curious, open and genuinely interested and NEEDING to clean up their diet than ever before.
And going raw - or MORE RAW - is the answer.
To be clear, being a Raw Food Coach doesn't mean that you help everyone go 100% raw - far from it.
In fact, in 90%+ cases, people generally want to up their raw food intake to 60%-70% raw or thereabouts and most importantly, be able to sustain it.
This is what most people want - PERIOD.
Absolutely there will always be people who want to go all the way, whether that be for a week, a month, a year or more, and there's a place for that. (And I can help you with that...)
But you don't NEED to know how to help someone go 100% raw and stay there to be a Raw Food Coach - it all comes down to WHO you want to help and HOW you want to help them and YOU get to decide all of this.
And this is where I come in.
Over the past 12 years I have invested (I kid you not) hundreds of thousands of dollars in my own business know-how so that I can create the most impact and help my students to do the same.
I have intentionally worked with some of the world's best business mentors so that I can bring raw food to the masses and make it easy for people to follow suit.
And here's what I know:
If you want to be successful in bringing more raw food to the world you have to pick your area of speciality, do a deep dive with it and help YOUR particular tribe to be successful in every way that you can.
THIS is what will bring you your success - in every sense of the word.
Where most Raw Food Coaches go wrong (existing or new) is that they want to help everybody and end up being way too general and sadly ending up not really helping anyone much at all.
This is understandable, I wanted to help the whole world and everyone in it too... until I realised that we all have different tribes to serve and all of us have been created in very unique and special ways to help different groups of people in our own unique and special way. Nothing is an accident, and we all have a role to play.
The truth is that there is PLENTY OF BUSINESS out there for everyone now. You don't even have to call yourself a Raw Food Coach, although you may well be one - albeit undercover! It all depends on who you want to help, and why, and how, and what language will really speak to the people you want to help.
There are so many possibilities for who you can serve and how you can serve, your biggest question really is... "how do I choose?"

As a result of the massive shifts that have happened in the past few years and that are happening right now, here at the end of 2019 I have radically overhauled and updated the Raw Coach Training to reflect this new reality.
This is now the PERFECT time to bring raw food to the world in a way that is as blatant, subtle or mixed-in-with-something-else as you care to make it.
The possibilities are endless!

FACEBOOK GROUP
Upon signing up to this Training you’ll gain instructions for how to gain access to a private Facebook group that is open ONLY to students of this program.

ask any questions you may have about any of the modules or content provided to you (this is in addition to the twice-monthly Q&A calls)

Q&A CALLS
To provide top-level coaching and mentoring throughout the program and give you the moral support, inspiration and guidance that you need, there will also be TWO 1-hour Group Q&A calls per month from January - December 2020 (24 calls total).
These calls can be used for any and all questions pertaining to the Training content, your unique coaching business and your raw food coaching.
These calls take place as follows:
First Thursday of the month at 2:00am Pacific / 5:00am Eastern / 10:00am UK / 9:00pm Sydney
Third Thursday of the month at 10:00am Pacific / 1:00pm Eastern / 6:00pm UK / 5:00am Sydney (Thursday)
Very occasionally these call dates will need to change if I am traveling, but this is kept to a minimum.
All calls are recorded, and you can post questions in advance of any/all calls and hear my response to your question by tuning into the recording later. Location is NOT a barrier to full participation!
At the end of your training, you’ll be given the opportunity to take a written exam testing you on the content taught during the 24-part training. This will not be testing you on your ability to coach, but on your understanding of the content of the Training. You certificate will be worded as follows:
"This is to certify that [your name] has successfully completed the Raw Coach Training 2020 as taught by Karen Knowler, and has demonstrated an excellent understanding of what it takes to coach in the field of raw food to a world-class, professional standard."
There is no additional fee for this, it is all included in your course tuition fee.
Upon passing this exam you will be sent your certificate, together with a gorgeous graphic you can put on your website and marketing materials to this effect. This will certainly be something that potential clients will hold in high regard as they research the best raw food coach for them, and it will set you apart from the many other raw food cocahes who have not completed this Training.
